Toby loves backing exceptional entrepreneurs who are crazy enough to pursue the ETA path. He's done it and knows what it takes to find, acquire and build small businesses into scaled enterprises across global markets.
Toby is Managing Partner at CXP Capital, where he leads the group's ETA investing activities globally. A former searcher and operator turned investor, Toby acquired and led an IT services business before joining Relay Investments where he deployed capital globally across the search fund asset class. To date, Toby has backed over 30 searchers and over a dozen investments.
Toby holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of Waterloo. He lives in Toronto with his wife and is happiest on the rink, the fairway, the slopes, or the water.
